Anyway, while the polls may be a buzz-meter, they do, in turn, generate their own buzz once picked up on by the media - which is in a frenzy to call this a "horse race" so they can then use terms like "dark horse," "win by a nose," and "photo finish". No one is happier with the poll results than CNN et al. Of course if Dean wins by eight furlongs then there may be no ability to mount a comeback down the stretch and pull it out at the wire.
