More likely we do nothing: Former Defense Secretary Perry thinks we're headed toward war with N. Korea, as soon as this year. The cause? N. Korea is apparently starting to reprocess spent nuclear fuel rods. Perry thinks we've about run out of options because we haven't kept the lid on this problem, and now it's boiling over. I tend to agree with that somewhat, but I also doubt we go to war unless Jong Il does something really nutty. I mean, who is going to believe Bush when he goes on t.v. saying he has evidence that N. Korea is a) hording weapons of mass destruction; b) has recently tried to buy uranium, or c) is ashamed to be from N. Korea because...oh wait. The American people also know that this will be no cakewalk, a la Afghanistan or Iraq. The only upside is that we could pretty quickly hand the hot potato off to S. Korea, rather than have to establish yet another intermin government. I just don't see this happening, especially with the election season nearly upon us.
