Oh, not that kind of pirate movie: Funny, last week I started to write a review of this movie, which I saw two weekends ago (first new release I'd seen in months - see children, generally), then deleted the whole thing. That said, it really was a fun movie that exemplifies everything you want out of escapist fare. Johnny Depp was simply acting on a different plane than everyone else, and if that's being a pirate, then it's the sailing life for me. I still think of his performance from time-to-time and smile whenever I do. Bravo.
