More DOJ: It seems to me that, if Justice srepping on rights is one's big problem, one ought to read a little about what went on in Reno's department in the 90s (instead of bitching about how big an enemy of the Constitution John Ashcroft will no doubt prove to be if we don't hold some teach-ins). Cato's report on Waco is the essential starting point. If ever there were an era in which the controlling paradigm of federal law enforcement was domestic thuggery and systematic aggregation of federal police power, it was the Clinton/Reno era.
