Slideshow: Via Sully, a very good, very long series of photos that detail the buildup to Katrina, the immediate aftermath and its optimism, and the long decline into misery. It takes a while to go through. Amazing shots, though.

Interesting! No seriously, that was incredibly well done and very very telling. You can imagine people coming out after the storm had passed, figuring they would just sweep up, re-pane some glass, and have the bars running in the next 72 hours.

Then they wake up the next morning to massive flooding - and he "only" shot the downtown where the flooding was 3-4 feet high. Imagine those places with houses underwater! Great shots, and even better for someone like me, whose never been to NOLA, to get a sense of the layout of the city. Better than any MSM has done to date. Bravo!
