The loyal opposition in these things is usually not only blunt but often rude. The huzzahs from the back bench add to the feel that a brawl is about to break out. Faced with something like this, Bush would fall apart, I think. It's a tribute to Blair that, even as he's getting the worst of it from his own party, he stands up in the commons and takes the beating and still makes the case eloquently.
