Iraq: Do we still think we'll win this thing by being nice? By not killing people? Our actions simply signal a power vacuum, which terrorists and thugs will only be happy to fill. Here's the short version: We have to start killing the poeple who try to kill us. We need to kill them in great swaths and droves. Moreover, we need to move up the chain and begin targeting the leaders of these groups.

Razor has pointed out how Hamas's top-level recruiting efforts have trouble keeping pace with Israel's ability to bump off the CEO. Israel no doubt is working on the assumption that those who wish to lead the martyrs don't necessarily have the martyr mentality themselves. They might think twice about accepting the top spot. And Hamas might soon be asking their version of the second-assistant french-fry-machine attendant to run the whole burger joint.

We can work the same deal with the al-Mehdi crew.
