Kerry strategist Tad Devine said on Monday that the 25 million dollar television buy was "the most ambitious media campaign in the history of presidential politics. It's unprecedented for a challenger to launch a campaign like this."That's because most challengers try not to peak in February of the election year. As I've mentioned, Kerry has to make his money work, or he'll be forced to blow a lot of his federal allowance while Bush is still coasting on his primary season bankroll of +/- $200 million. If Kerry has to spend $25 mil to re-introduce himself to a largely indifferent public, his money is not being well spent.

Kerry has defended his medal-studded war record from a Bush campaign drive to belittle it . . .Is that really what's been going on? That's not my impression.
